A revised schedule for Subway Line 14, operated by BJMTR, was implemented on May 11. The changes are designed to reduce passenger waiting times and improve commuting during morning and evening rush hour. This update is expected to accommodate over 7,000 additional passengers during morning peak hours and over 3,700 additional passengers along the upward route during evening peak hours.
With the implementation of the new timetable, the section from Lize Shangwuqu to Shan'gezhuang will see earlier departures and increased train frequency during morning and evening peak hours. Specifically, to enhance the convenience of commuters:
Departure time from Lize Shangwuqu along the upward route will be 19 minutes earlier, from 6:41 to 6:22, during morning peak hours.
Departure time from Shan'gezhuang along the downward route will be 23 minutes earlier, from 6:35 to 6:12, during morning peak hours.
Departure time from Lize Shangwuqu along the upward route will be 12 minutes earlier, from 17:31 to 17:19, during evening peak hours.
This year, BJMTR implemented a trial of multilingual translators at several stations, including Beijingnan Zhan (Beijing South Railway Station) on Line 4/Daxing Line, Wangjing on Line 14, Fengtai Railway Station on Line 16, and Gongrentiyuchang (Workers' Stadium) on Line 17. Since the trial began, nearly 500 passengers benefited from this trial.
