From January 1 to 4, 2026, traffic management measures will be temporarily adjusted for all passenger vehicles entering Beijing.

I. Beijing-registered vehicles will not be subject to weekday peak-hour and area-based restrictions based on the last digits of license plate numbers.

II. Passenger vehicles registered elsewhere with valid Beijing Entry Permits (within the 6th Ring Road) will be exempt from the driving ban within the 5th Ring Road (7:00–9:00 and 17:00–20:00) as well as the area restriction rules based on the last digits of license plate numbers (9:00–17:00).

However, such vehicles must comply with the regulation that entry is prohibited around the clock on the 2nd Ring Road and the roads within it, Jianguomen Outer Street, Fuxingmen Outer Street, and Fuxing Road (the section from Muxidi Bridge to Xinxing Bridge).
