In late autumn, the Beijing Yeya Lake National Wetland Park in Yanqing offers gorgeous sunsets, with the setting sun casting its golden glow across the lake, transforming the scene into a living painting. This seasonal spectacle is now at its best. On sunny days, visitors are advised to enter the park before 16:30 to enjoy the view.

Viewing and Photography Tips

Suggested Composition: Position yourself facing the sun and the lake, and shoot against the light to capture the backlit scenery.

Best Time for Photography: The golden hour extends from 30 minutes before sunset to 20 minutes after sunset. The best golden reflections on the water appear during the dozen or so minutes when the sun is close to the horizon but has not yet fully set.

Visitor Tips

Please keep a safe distance when taking photos and avoid disturbing migratory birds. Temperatures in Yanqing are lower than downtown Beijing, so visitors are advised to dress warmly when enjoying the scenery during the hours before dusk.
