On May 27, the 36th Beijing Daxing Watermelon Festival "Jinbahuang Cup" National Watermelon Arena Contest came to an end after fierce competition. The watermelon of 177.9 kilograms from Panggezhuang Town, Daxing District took the crown as "King of Melons" this year.

This year's contest brought together 1,446 participating melons of 392 groups from all over the country.
