After more than a year's renovation, the west wing of Beijing GR Shopping Mall in Haidian District is set to reopen by the end of 2026 with a new look and a new name: Beijing Golden Resources Sky Square.

With a floor area of more than 600,000 square meters, the commercial complex will be positioned as a "Museum of a Thousand Lifestyles," bringing culture, daily life and retail together for a new consumer experience.

The revamped west wing will go beyond the traditional department store model and introduce a new lineup of brands, including several brands making their Beijing or Haidian debut here. Fudi, a warehouse membership supermarket, and Grid Coffee's new-concept store will also open here. Multiple brands will launch their latest customized store designs, with offerings spanning international beauty products, outdoor sports, family-friendly experiences, dining and quality retail.

Once the west wing reopens, the east wing will undergo its own upgrades while remaining open to shoppers. After the comprehensive renovation, the mall will feature distinctive zones, including an international luxury brands zone, an oriental aesthetics space, a youth hub, a boulevard dedicated to independent brand founders, and a food destination bringing together flavors from across the country. These spaces will further integrate local culture with commercial and consumer experiences.

When it opened in 2004, GR Shopping Mall was the largest single commercial project in Asia at that time, filling the gap of a comprehensive large-scale shopping center in western Beijing.
