The 2026 Beijing Culture Forum opened on September 22, with a series of major achievements announced at the event.

The forum released two authoritative outcomes: Deepening Mutual Learning Among Civilizations and Highlighting Civilizational Markers: Report on China's Cultural Exchanges with the World (2025) and the "Top Ten Events in the Building of the National Cultural Center in 2025". The list includes the exhibition "A Century of Stewardship: From the Forbidden City to the Palace Museum", which carries forward China's cultural heritage; the "ticket-stub economy", which is unlocking the potential for deeper integration of culture, commerce, tourism, sports and exhibitions in Beijing; and the city's innovative development of "Ultra-Live" as a new cultural format.

In addition, the forum released The Cultural Veins of a Great Nation: Chinese Wisdom in the Protection and Inheritance of History and Culture; typical cases from the "Co-drawing the Youth Edition of the Chinese Cultural Heritage Map" initiative under Youth Inheriting Chinese Cultural Heritage: Creativity Safeguarding Cultural Heritage; the first batch of the Beijing Municipal Archives and Documentary Heritage List; and "Promoting Great Wall Culture, Telling Great Wall Stories: China Great Wall Museum Reopens with a New Look", among other achievements.

Two agreements were also signed at the event:

First, a Memorandum of Understanding Between the Association of Walled Cities of Veneto and the Beijing Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau was signed to deepen China-Italy exchanges in the cultural heritage and museum sectors.

Second, the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Copyright Protection for Works of Traditional Cultural Expressions, providing legal safeguards for the preservation and development of folk literature and art.
