The Beijing Wenyuhe Park recently opened 14 kilometers of cycling greenways across eight different sections, which are located in three zones, namely Changping Phase II, Chaoyang Phase I, and Chaoyang Phase II. Each section offers short loop routes around green spaces and lakes. The newly opened cycling routes are flat and smooth. Also, since no motor vehicles are allowed here, these routes are relatively safe for cycling with children.

Locations of the three newly opened cycling zones

1. Near Laiguangying, Chaoyang District: Accessible via Gate 18, 20, 21, 22, or 23

2. East of the Beijing-Chengde Expressway: Accessible via Gate 33, 40, 41, or 42

Near Future Science City, Changping District: Accessible via Gate 65 or 69

All of the aforementioned routes are free of charge and require no reservation.

How to get to the park's cycling greenways?

1. By cycling: Navigate directly to the corresponding entrance of the Beijing Wenyuhe Park.

2. By car: Each of the three zones has a dedicated parking lot. You can directly navigate to the following parking lots:

The zone near Laiguangying, Chaoyang District: Navigate to the parking lot P20 or P21.

The zone east of the Beijing-Chengde Expressway: Navigate to the parking lot P40 or P41.

The zone near the Future Science City: Navigate to the parking lot at Gate 65 or Gate 69 of the Future iValley.

Reminder: Electric vehicles, skateboards, roller skates, adult scooters, balance bikes, shared bicycles, and e-bikes are not permitted in the park.

The Beijing Wenyuhe Park was fully completed and opened to the public at the end of September 2025. Covering an area of approximately 30 square kilometers and spanning Chaoyang, Shunyi, and Changping districts, it is now the largest and most ecologically diverse natural zone within Beijing's urban areas, serving as the city's largest flood storage and detention zone, as well as its largest park.
