The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice has officially released the Regulations on the Development of the Beijing International Commercial Arbitration Center (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations) in six languages: Chinese, English, Russian, French, Spanish, and Arabic.
As part of the foreign-related arbitration legislation in Beijing, the Regulations is foundational, overarching, and extremely significant. It officially came into effect on December 1, 2025. The translation of the Regulations was among Beijing's key tasks for 2026 in building a more international language environment. These versions will help foreign investors and overseas commercial institutions better understand Beijing's arbitration rules and procedures, mechanisms for hearing cases, and measures for safeguarding rights and interests. In addition, the Regulations clarifies the path for cross-border/boundary dispute resolution and further contributes to the development of the Beijing International Commercial Arbitration Center.
