May 18 marks International Museum Day, and this year's theme will be "Museums Uniting a Divided World". As May 18 falls on a Monday this year, many museums in Beijing will remain open to the public.

The National Museum of China will operate normally, offering free admission. Reservations can be made via its official website, WeChat mini program, and WeChat official account.

The Grand Canal Museum of Beijing will open as scheduled, featuring folk music performances and cultural heritage preservation events.

The Natural History Museum of China will also be open, with "A Special Exhibition for the King of Dinosaurs" running concurrently.

For the Tsinghua University Art Museum, free same-day tickets can be booked online with valid ID via its official ticketing platform; visitors may also collect free tickets at the ticket counter with their valid ID.

The Beijing Folk Museum (Dongyue Temple) and its branch (Beiding Niangniang Temple) will offer free admission, featuring guided tours, folk toy crafting, stamp-collection activities, and new exhibitions.

Many other museums including the National Zoological Museum of China, Beijing Stone Carving Art Museum, and Beijing Auto Museum will be open as usual on that day. Visitors planning a visit are encouraged to check the specific museum's official website or social media accounts for details and updates.
