The "Foreign Diplomats Explore Beijing: Pinggu District Special Event" was held on April 18, jointly hosted by the Office of Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee (Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality) and the Pinggu District People's Government. It was attended by high-level diplomats from over 20 embassies, including the embassies of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Türkiye, Panama, Latvia, Suriname, and Kenya, and representatives of international organizations, including the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Ambassador of UAE to China, stated that the event allowed foreign diplomats to experience first-hand the unique charm of Beijing and the dynamic efforts made by Pinggu in sustainable development, technological innovation, and ecological construction. He expressed hope that the event would serve as an opportunity to further deepen the relevant countries' practical cooperation with Pinggu and the entire Beijing in areas such as trade, technology, and cultural exchange, to achieve mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.

Ajay Bhushan Pandey, Vice President of AIIB, said, "We have seen wonderful tourism infrastructure, excellent agriculture, and impressive food processing here." Pandey further expressed AIIB's willingness to provide a platform for knowledge-sharing among countries.

Diplomats including Sara Fadual Hamad Abdulla Sada, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Qatar, and Lauza Ali, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the Maldives, showed strong interest in Bibo Island and Zixingyuan (a food processing company), and established contacts with the company. Siti Zurianah Binti Ismail, First Secretary of the Embassy of Malaysia, also scheduled a meeting with the company.
Representatives of more than 20 Pinggu-based enterprises engaging in international operations, including East Buy, Zixingyuan, Qiangyou Group, and Xmeats, also participated in the event.
