The 2026 Chinese Athletics Association (CAA) 10KM Elite Series (Beijing-Haidian) officially opens registration today. Race entries will be determined through a "pre-registration + lottery" system. Registration will remain open until March 8.

To allow more runners the opportunity to participate, the organizing committee will conduct a second round of supplementary registration within three working days after the first lottery results are announced, filling any vacant slots that result from participant withdrawals or refunds.

The event will start on April 6. This year's course connects Zhongguancun, Kunminghu East Road, Changchun Bridge, and the Three Hills and Five Gardens area, offering runners a dynamic blend of Haidian's cultural heritage and its vibrant science-and-technology hubs and innovation-driven cityscape. It will host 6,000 participants, with 3,000 runners in the 10K race and 3,000 in the Fun Run. Notably, the 10K category has added 1,000 slots compared to last year.

The University Challenge category will continue to be open to full-time students nationwide in the 10K race. The Fun Run will feature 1,500 parent-child teams, each consisting of one adult and one primary or middle school student.
