The return travel peak for this year's Spring Festival holiday has arrived. Beijing Subway has introduced a range of measures, including extended operating hours and additional temporary train services, to ensure smooth transfers for passengers arriving in the capital by rail and air, and help late-night travelers get home safely.

Beijingxi Zhan (Beijing West Railway Station)

On sections of Line 7, which connects with Beijing West Railway Station, service hours have been extended and stations opened earlier than usual. Volunteer service stations have also been set up to assist passengers during peak periods, offering items such as needles, thread, handbags, tape, and other essentials for public use.

Chaoyang Railway Station

Sections of Line 3, serving Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station, are also operating for longer hours. Since the launch of its first train on February 21, Chaoyang Railway Station has been piloting a new system that allows railway passengers transferring to the subway to bypass additional security checks, helping to reduce their transfer time.

Beijingbei Zhan (Beijing North Railway Station)

Sections of Line 2, which links to Beijing North Railway Station, have likewise extended their service hours. During the late-night operations, staff at Xizhimen Station will distribute information pamphlets and guide passengers at Entrance/Exit A1, fare gates, and ticketing areas.

Beijing Zhan (Beijing Railway Station)

Sections of Line 2, which connect with Beijing Railway Station, now have their service hours prolonged with earlier opening time. Guiding fences and signage have been added at the entrances and transfer corridors at the subway station for smooth transfers. All fare gates and security check channels are in operation, with zoned passenger flow management introduced to improve efficiency.

Fengtai Railway Station

Sections of Line 10, connected to Beijing Fengtai Railway Station, have introduced longer service hours and earlier station opening time. In response to the influx of students returning to Beijing with a large amount of luggage and the growing demand for accessibility support, staff and volunteers are providing targeted assistance at elevators, escalators, and platforms. Free hot water, basic medicines, and power banks are also available for passengers in need.

Qinghe Zhan ( Qinghe Railway Station)

By monitoring the latest train schedules and anticipated passenger flows — particularly the increase of young travelers and those with bulky luggage — staff at Qinghe Railway Station's subway station have deployed volunteers to provide ticketing assistance and travel guidance.

Beiyunhe Dong (E)

At Beiyunhe Dong (E) station on Subway Line 6, which connects with Tongzhou Railway Station, transfer channel hours have been carefully adjusted to align with late-night arrivals. "Spring Festival Travel Service Stations" (春运暖心驿站) offer conveniences including free hot water, hand warmers, power banks, masks, candy, medicines, tape, and plastic bags for emergencies.

Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 of Capital Airport Express

Meanwhile, sections of the Capital Airport Express, which serves Beijing Capital International Airport, have extended their service hours. Dedicated personnel are stationed at Dongzhimen and Terminal 3 stations to assist passengers with their checked luggage.
