This week, the weather is getting warmer, with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Daytime highs are expected to range between 3°C and 5°C, while nighttime lows will remain near -10°C. With a daily temperature variation of roughly 10°C, it's advisable to wrap up warmly in the morning and evening.

However, a cold snap is expected over the weekend. A strong cold front will move through Beijing from January 17 to 20. On the weekend (January 17 to 18), southerly winds at lower altitudes will increase humidity and cloud cover, potentially bringing light snow to mountainous areas on the night of January 17. From January 18 to 19, northwesterly winds of force 3-4 will intensify the bitter chill. Take precautions against wind and cold, stay clear of temporary structures like billboards, and beware of falling objects.

In addition, those going out should dress warmly this weekend. Elderly people, children, and those with weaker constitutions should take extra care to prevent cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, respiratory, and other health issues.
