Blast Furnace No. 3 of Shougang Park
On December 18, the "Digital Re-ignition" ceremony of the RE· Blast Furnace No. 3 Digital Museum was held at Shougang Park in Shijingshan District, Beijing.
On December 18, 2010, the fire of Blast Furnace No. 3 was extinguished. Today, this former "meritorious blast furnace" has been transformed into a "museum plus" digital cultural experience complex. Spanning nearly 2,000 square meters, the site now features an "1+N" immersive experience centered on the The Age of Steel exhibition, alongside an XR theater, a themed café, an intangible cultural heritage creative market, and "RE Li" heritage-themed products — transforming the industrial landmark into a vibrant public space open to all.

"Digital Re-ignition" lighting ceremony
At 11:18, the "Digital Re-ignition" lighting ceremony kicked off, echoing the moment when the blast furnace was shut down 15 years ago. Guests illuminated the furnace core with their digital steel torches, reviving the industrial legacy through technology.
At the event, a series of wonderful performances were presented one after another, including chorus singing and Tai Chi performances by humanoid robots.

In the future, the Digital Museum will continue to further the application of digital technologies, enrich immersive cultural experiences, and integrate more resources in the fields of culture, sports and technological innovation. It aims to build this "meritorious blast furnace" into a new cultural landmark and provide a replicable and promotable "Shougang sample" for the adaptive transformation of industrial heritage worldwide.
