The results of the "2025 China's Happiest Cities" survey were released on December 9 at the Happy Cities Forum 2025 held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. In the category of the "2025 Happiest Urban Districts (Urban Districts of Municipalities Directly under the Central Government)", three districts in Beijing were selected: Xicheng, Fengtai, and Shijingshan.
Hosted by Oriental Outlook (瞭望东方周刊, a weekly magazine), the "Happiest Cities" survey has been conducted for 19 consecutive years now. Over the past years, it has recognized over 100 cities and districts, becoming one of the most influential urban-themed events in China. This year's survey was made under the theme "Acting on the Vision That Cities Should Be Built for the People and Creating a Better and Happier Life". This aligned closely with the goals of building modern cities for the people, highly promoted local initiatives to enhance urban well-being, and showcased the achievements of high-quality urban development in the modern era.
