The ICCA Global Venue Experts Forum 2025 was recently held at the China National Convention Center (Phase II), where several major initiatives were unveiled. These included the release of a three-year action plan, the launch of Beijing's first one-stop convention and exhibition service platform, and the establishment of an industrial fund, all injecting fresh momentum into the high-quality development of the city's MICE industry.
Chaoyang District released its Three-Year Action Plan for Facilitating High-Quality Development of MICE industry (2026-2028) along with the supporting measures. The plan outlines comprehensive policy support in Chaoyang District across the full industry chain, aimed at the continued reforms to improve the business environment, and the provision of top-tier service guarantees. It also aims to promote "MICE+" integrated innovation and build a high-quality convention and exhibition ecosystem. These efforts are expected to enhance the clustering of global resources, and make Chaoyang District a convention and exhibition hub with international influence.
Chaoyang District's North Star One-Stop Service Platform for Conventions and Exhibitions was also officially launched. As the first of its kind in Beijing, the platform integrates resources from the government, corporations, and relevant industries to provide a full chain of services for the MICE industry. It is committed to building itself into an integrated, one-stop service platform that offers services including application processing, pre-approval guidance, and policy consultation. This will further optimize the regional business environment for the MICE industry, and enhance the quality and efficiency of the MICE economy through improved service delivery.
The Capital MICE Artificial Intelligence Technology Innovation Industrial Fund was launched on the same day. Established by Beijing North Star Group, the fund is aimed at supporting the R&D and application of AI technologies for the MICE industry, thereby driving the digital and intelligent transformation of the industry.
