Beijing is currently at the peak of flu season. Practicing good personal protection is especially important, and wearing a mask properly can effectively help prevent respiratory infectious diseases.

The following situations call for mask-wearing:

If you are unwell, especially when experiencing flu-like symptoms such as fever, sore throat, or coughing.

When seeking medical care, accompanying others to medical appointments, providing care, or visiting hospitalized patients.

In crowded and poorly ventilated spaces, such as supermarkets, waiting halls, or when using public transport.

When entering places where vulnerable groups are concentrated, such as nursing homes, social welfare institutions, and kindergartens. Visitors and staff providing public services are also advised to wear masks.

When vulnerable individuals go out, including older people, young children, people with chronic diseases, and pregnant women, they should wear masks in crowded indoor public spaces.

When people around you are unwell, such as colleagues, classmates, or family members with whom you live, work or study, especially if they show respiratory symptoms such as coughing or fever.

Protecting your health starts with small actions — don't forget to wear a mask!
