Beijing Subway will expand its network to cover Hebei Province. Following the completion of Rail Transit Line 22, it will, for the first time, connect the "Three Northern Counties" (Sanhe, Dachang and Xianghe) of the province's Langfang and Beijing's Pinggu District with Beijing's urban rail transit network. Traveling from Yanjiao Town in Sanhe to the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center will take as little as 9 minutes, while the fastest trip to Beijing's CBD (Dongdaqiao Station) will take around 32 minutes. This line will effectively ease cross-provincial road traffic pressure and make cross-provincial trips far more convenient for those who have to take the trips for working.

Line 22 (Pinggu Line) has a length of approximately 81.2 kilometers, comprising the Beijing and Hebei sections, with a total of 22 stations. After opening, it will offer transfers to Batong Line, Line 6, Line 10, Line 14, Line 17, Line 28, and Line M101.

Qixinzhuang Station is an elevated station, while Yanjiao Station, Shenwei Dajie Station, Chaobai Dajie Station, and Gaolou Station are underground stations. Currently, the civil works and the construction of the main parts of the stations and intervals have been largely completed.
