In preparation for the fast-approaching snow season, major ski resorts in Beijing have already started making snow, and some have officially opened. What new experiences can we expect from this season? Let's take a look!

The Rainbow Ski Trail at the finish area of the National Alpine Ski Center is one of the first runs to open this season.

The center, located in the Beijing Yanqing Olympic Zone, used 44 fixed snow machines and 54 mobile snow machines for snow-making. The process progressed smoothly, and the center officially opened on November 22.

The Alpine Ski Center will extend the skiing distance of the beginner trails, expand the experience area, and gradually open 13 professional trails in eight staggered phases. This will meet both the needs of recreational skiers and professional training.

The Jundushan Ski Resort in Changping has launched pet-friendly services this year, making it the only ski resort in Beijing that allows pets. To address the core needs of pet owners, the resort has set up a pet care area and a dedicated snow play area for pets, ensuring that pet owners can travel with peace of mind and enjoy the snow together with their furry friends.

Additionally, a direct winter sports shuttle service from Beijing to Chongli, Zhangjiakou, in Hebei Province has begun operations. The shuttles depart from Beijing Capital International Airport, Daxing Airport, and Beijingnan (South) Railway Station, with two dedicated routes. The first route serves ski resorts such as the Wanlong Paradise Resort, Aranya-Chongli, Forlong Ski Resort, and Cuiyunshan Resort. The second route serves ski resorts in the core skiing area, including YunDing Resort Secret Garden, Thaiwoo Ski Resort, and Snow Ruyi Ski Resort. The shuttle operates two round-trips daily between Capital Airport and the resorts, and one round-trip daily between Daxing Airport, Beijingnan Railway Station, and the resorts.

In addition to connecting major transportation hubs, Chongli has also set up a shuttle loop between Taizicheng Railway Station and Chongli Railway Station and the ski resorts. Furthermore, bus routes link various ski resorts, catering to the travel needs of different skiers.
