From the first train on November 8, the official opening of Dahong Men Station marks the full connection of the entire Beijing Subway Line 8. Known as the "Underground Central Axis", Line 8 now runs north-south through the city. And the new station enables bidirectional transfers with Line 10, making travel much smoother for commuters along the route.

Line 8 has a total of 35 stations running from Zhuxinzhuang in Changping in the north to Yinghai in Daxing in the south. It passes through key areas such as the Olympic Park, Shichahai, Qianmen, and Tianqiao. Since it aligns perfectly with the city's Central Axis, it is also known as the "Underground Central Axis".

The opening of Dahong Men Station was delayed due to incomplete transfer passages and exits, so trains passed through without stopping. Now that it is open, the "bottleneck" preventing transfers to Line 10 has been cleared, providing a more efficient and convenient travel option for commuters traveling between the city center and southern regions such as Fengtai and Daxing, further alleviating surface traffic congestion.

Dahong Men Station combines "underground transfer" and "integrated connection". After entering through Entrance/Exit C, passengers can directly access the underground passage to choose between Line 8 and Line 10, facilitating a convenient transfer with "no need to exit the station and no detours". The renovated Entrance/Exit C has been expanded southward, featuring escalators, accessible elevators, and wider corridors, significantly enhancing the passenger experience.
