On October 29, the first Beijing International Talent Service Center was officially inaugurated in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (E-Town). Facilitated by advanced artificial intelligence technologies, the center offers a smart service system that combines online and offline channels, enabling one-stop, end-to-end handling of nearly 100 government, public-utility, and daily life service items.

Let's take a look at some of the highlights of the new service center:

· One-stop services for international talent: The center enables efficient processing of work permits, visas, and professional licenses, and provides access to services related to children's education, taxation, and legal affairs, along with daily-life support such as housing rental and domestic services.

· Upgraded services for local talent: The center offers support to talent recruitment, points-based household registration, and work and residence permit applications, while delivering innovation and entrepreneurship services, such as commercialization of scientific and research findings, and business incubation.

· "Join in Card" (聚英卡) for integrated urban services: By getting this card at the center, foreigners can access a range of basic services related to social security, medical bill settlement, transportation, cultural tourism, and financial payments, making working and living in China even more convenient.

The center is also filled with interactive tech elements: Smart AR glasses provide real-time translation; the digital assistant Xiaoyi digital human offers friendly guidance; document delivery robots zip around transferring materials; and intelligent beverage robots serve drinks to waiting customers.

One foreign visitor commented: "I've always found procedures in Beijing convenient, and that feeling carries over in this service hall. The smart AR glasses can translate over 100 languages, saving a great deal of communication time."

By providing cross-border consultation, multilingual support, seamless procedures, and intelligent progress tracking, the service center sends a clear signal to global talent: Beijing is not only an innovation hub, but also a welcoming place where talent can take root and grow.
