Several universities in Beijing, including the Beijing University of Technology, the Capital Medical University, the Beijing Language and Culture University, and the University of Science and Technology Beijing, have officially announced the founding of some new colleges and schools.

On October 12, the Beijing University of Technology inaugurated four new schools focusing on new energy, integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, and cyberspace security, respectively, forming a new academic matrix that aligns strategic key disciplines with China's national priorities and regional development demands.

On September 29, the Capital Medical University inaugurated the School of Medical Technologies, which integrates the education and research resources of five related majors, including medical imaging technologies. The new school aims to promote deeper integration between medical engineering and theories, to establish a platform for talent cultivation and sci-tech innovation for medical technologies.

In September, the Beijing Language and Culture University's Sino-American International College of Health received official approval from the Ministry of Education of China. The college adopts a dual-supervisor system employing supervisors from both China and the U.S., and offers a fully English-taught curriculum. It will also collaborate with renowned medical institutions in both countries to provide students with opportunities for overseas internships and exchange opportunities.

In July this year, the University of Science and Technology Beijing held the inauguration ceremony for its School of Carbon Neutrality. The school emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and focuses on breakthroughs in core technologies for achieving carbon neutrality in the steel industry. It also aims to build a high-level platform for scientific innovation and talent development.
