The National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday has arrived, and Beijing is rolling out more than 500 themed shopping and leisure events to enrich the festive atmosphere and enhance visitor experiences. Here's your guide to the highlights!

Throughout the holiday, major commercial districts, time-honored brands, and online platforms are offering special promotions. Restaurants such as Yangfang Shuanrou, Ziguangyuan, and Daoxiangcun are launching festive menus and gift boxes, while heritage brands like Ruifuxiang, Wuyutai, and Rongbaozhai are introducing creative cultural products and co-branded gift sets that integrate traditional culture with modern aesthetics.

Shopping centers like SKP and Chang'an Paradise Walk are offering discounts and coupons, while Huaguan and Hopson One are hosting fairs, concerts, and art exhibitions. Large commercial complexes such as INDIGO, Wangjing MixC, and SOLANA are featuring anniversary promotions, themed markets, and music festivals, creating a lively festive atmosphere.

Dongcheng District hosts the "Golden Autumn Banquet - Chongwai Intangible Cultural Heritage Food Festival" with heritage food tastings, culinary competitions, and anime-themed activities.

In Xicheng District, multiple department stores have launched "spend-and-save" promotions with freebies for consumers buying certain products. At Grand Pacific, spend 1,000 yuan and get 100 yuan back; Caibai Jewelry offers vouchers with orders of a certain amount, and complimentary silver items with gold purchase. Meanwhile, Hua Wei Center attracts younger consumers with IP pop-ups of "Sultan's Game" and "Ling Cage 2".

Huaxi LIVE - Wukesong in Haidian District is staging an OpenLive Carnival for the China Open, offering a secondary live-site experience for fans. In Changping District, Hopson unveils the "2025 Changping Robotics Culture Festival", showcasing an array of cutting-edge robotic technology.

The Chaoyang International Light Festival - Consumption Season centers around Liangma River and the Olympic Sports Center, creating a "Sleepless in Chaoyang" scenario with its night tours. At Badaling Great Wall, Garden Expo Park, and the Green Heart Forest Park in the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center (BMC), these locations offer moon-viewing events, opera weeks, and music festivals. Parks such as the Temple of Heaven, Beihai Park, and Zizhuyuan Park host cultural-creative markets and intangible cultural heritage activities. Fangshan, Shunyi, Changping, and Daxing districts offer outdoor sports carnivals, autumn harvest festivals, folk markets, and homestay packages, catering to residents seeking nearby weekend getaways. Meanwhile, the National Convention Center and Beijing Exhibition Center are staging large-scale anime and gaming exhibitions and jewelry fairs.

Pinggu District is hosting an autumn music festival, with country music concerts, science exhibitions and magic performances. Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA) hosts the Autumn Breeze Lifestyle Festival and spend-and-get promotions. Huairou District runs the 2025 Beijing Great Wall Cultural Festival, focusing on micro-tourism needs.

During the National Day holiday, a wave of "first store" openings is taking place. In Chaoyang District, a key consumer hub, Taikoo Li Sanlitun welcomes the Beijing debut of its "Ah Ma Handmade" brand (阿嬷手作), featuring a limited-edition beverage that blends the flavor of a local specialty, douzhi. Meanwhile, the China debut of Fabrique·La Salle (纷布) and the North China debut of Rockfish (洛菲什) also open their doors, adding new shopping destinations for residents and visitors.

THE NEW in Xidan debuts Mark Tubb's latest Pingu products in North China. THE BOX Chaowai continues to host the INSERTCORNX Cyberpunk 2077 Beijing premiere. Chaoyang Hopson One, Joy City, and Changxindian China-chic Fashion Block present the nationwide debut of the Pokémon 151-themed pop-up, the North China debut of the X11 DearNikki Dream Garden pop-up, and the premiere of the Intangible Heritage Changxin - Masters Art-themed series, respectively. Lumi Warehouse stages the immersive theater debut "Phantom Tour Lumi Warehouse".

In addition to these diverse cultural and tourism activities, Beijing has launched "ticket stub" themed promotions.

Shijingshan District, in collaboration with major commercial areas including Xirondo, Joy City Jingxi, and Chang'an Mills, is offering exclusive deals. Visitors with WTT China Grand Smash or China Open ticket stubs can enjoy discounts at over 200 merchants across dining, retail, entertainment, and cultural-sports sectors.

Tongzhou District continues "This Is the Shang" ticket stub voucher campaign with the Grand Canal Museum. Visitors can claim a limited voucher package via Alipay for discounts at 130 participating merchants, combining cultural exploration with leisurely consumption.

Fengtai District, leveraging IPs such as the Opera Culture Week, Garden Expo Park Night Tours, and the World Park Lantern Festival to offer ticket-stub promotions. Nearly 150 dining, entertainment, and retail merchants participate, visitors can collect stamps or participate in interactive performances to obtain ticket stubs, which can then be redeemed for linked discounts across nearby commercial areas, attractions, and dining venues.

Yanqing District, under the banner "Taste of Yanqing - Autumn Feast of Flavors", is launching a series of activities including cultural signature dish routes, ticket-stub-for-food promotions, and night markets. By integrating resources from attractions such as Badaling Great Wall and Garden Expo Park, the district delivers a full-cycle tourism and consumption experience.
