This summer, a number of museums across Beijing have adjusted their opening schedules. Among them, 22 museums have now either announced their closure on Tuesdays or lifted their arrangements of closure days, while 20 others have extended their opening hours.

In addition, 20 museums including the Beijing Planetarium, the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture, and the Beijing Art Museum will extend their opening hours on designated dates. For example, until August 24, the Drum Tower will stay open until 18:30 every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with additional drum performances and immersive film screenings. The store selling creative souvenirs will also remain open during the extended hours.

A variety of amazing "Magical Nights" have also been planned. The Beijing Planetarium hosts a special "Night at the Planetarium" every Saturday evening. The Museum of Chinese Garden and Landscape Architecture will launch a night educational campaign themed cultural creativity. The Beijing Nanhaizi Milu Park Museum will offer a summer-autumn educational program - "Discover the National Treasure: Milu Deer at the Imperial Hunting Grounds".

The Beijing Museum Season is underway: July  - Culture and Creation Month - will feature multiple museum-themed creative markets. August will be dedicated to educational tours, with special routes to be introduced for participants to study while visiting museums.
