Beijing Library has won three more international awards for its smart spaces, visual interactions, and multi-dimensional exhibitions, bringing the total number of its international honors to seven.
In April, the Metaverse Experience Hall of Beijing Library won the Gold Award for Best Interactive Capabilities of the 2025 Vega Digital Awards, a globally prestigious accolade in the field of digital media and design. By replicating the physical venue in the cloud through deep integration of AI, VR, and AR technologies, it enables every reader to create personalized virtual avatars to interact with others while eliminating barriers between online and offline experiences.
The Data Visualization System of Beijing Library has been awarded the Platinum Prize in the 2024–2025 A'Design Award and Competition, transforming architecture and environment into an immersive 3D digital space that is showcased through an 18-meter-wide and 3-meter-high interactive screen located on the library's B1 level, achieving integration of physical space and digital services.
"The Beijing Central Axis in Print: Exhibition of Treasured Print Classics of the Capital Library of China", launched by the Capital Library of China, won the iF Design Award from Germany in March this year. It guided visitors through the historical evolution of the Central Axis's architecture, culture, art, and figures, embodying its solemn and monumental style through spatial configuration that adopted the Central Axis's architectural principles.
