The Central Axis, the core of Beijing's ancient city layout, stretches 7.8 kilometers from the Bell and Drum Towers in the north, southward through Wanning Bridge, Jingshan Hill, the Forbidden City, Tian'anmen Square, and Zhengyangmen, ending at Yongdingmen. It was inscribed on the World Heritage List in July 2024, making it the newest World Heritage site in Beijing.
Welcome to the Central Axis for sightseeing during the Labor Day holiday!
