New Type of Train Operated for Beijing Subway Line 13
Recently, Beijing Subway Line 13 officially launched a new type of train, boasting a higher level of intelligence and some upgraded service facilities.
A variety of handrails added inside the compartment to offer grip options
The exterior of the new train is more contemporary, with a striking yellow-and-white paint palette. Diverse handrails have been installed, with some lowered to enhance the gripping experience of passengers. In the door area, the center pillar handrail has been removed and a circular one has been installed overhead to expand the space there. Additionally, continuous handrails have been added along the longitudinal centerline of the ceiling to provide more grip points for passengers in the middle of the compartment. The position of the handles above the seats has been optimized. Moreover, a handrail bar has been added between the third and fourth seats to support passengers in the middle seats and those who have difficulty reaching the handles above the seats.
The seats in the new train are designed to be more user-centered. They are designed to align with the natural contours of the human body. A distinct boundary between the seats adds to the overall comfort of the ride. Additionally, the seats come with an electric heating feature, allowing adjustments to be made promptly in response to changing weather conditions.
Parallel armrests at varying heights for support in the wheelchair area
Furthermore, the wheelchair area is furnished with parallel armrests at varying heights, and the wheelchair-fixing device features an automatic rebound function. The LCD dynamic map display above the door has been expanded to show a range of additional information, such as vehicle details and escalator locations at stations. It has been repositioned above the window area inside the compartment to make it easier for passengers to read.
The air conditioning system of the new train utilizes a variable-frequency heat pump, increasing the efficiency of electric energy use while enhancing passenger comfort. It operates in zoned segments, enabling precise temperature control based on factors such as door operation, lighting, temperature, and humidity. The direction of the airflow has been improved to ensure even distribution throughout the compartment.
The new train's lighting system can automatically adjust the overall brightness based on outdoor weather conditions, and it can also automatically turn the light on or off at preset times, making it both energy-efficient and comfortable.
