On November 26, the 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) opened at the China International Exhibition Center (New Venue) in Beijing. Over 1,000 political and business representatives in China and from other countries attended the opening ceremony.
This session of CISCE is hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). At the expo, over 620 enterprises, institutions, and international organizations in China and from other countries participated in the expo, around 20 percent more than the number recorded during the first session. Notably, the proportion of overseas exhibitors rose to 32 percent from 26 percent in the first session.
Among all the distinguished guests, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple visited the expo's venue in advance on November 25, commenting that Apple would not have achieved today's success without its partners in China. Several Fortune Global 500 companies such as BP, ExxonMobil, Qualcomm, Tesla, and Bosch were also present at the expo, hoping to carry out all-round cooperation with local enterprises in China.
On the afternoon of the day when the opening ceremony was launched, a press conference for the release of the China Dairy Industry Supply Chain Sustainable Development Report, themed "Global Chain, Shared Gains: Yili's Future Vision" and co-hosted by Yili Group and CRI Online, was held at Yili's booth in the "Green Agriculture" area of the expo. Compiled by experts from the Institute of Industrial Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the report systematically analyzes and summarizes the current status of China's dairy supply chains as well as the associated challenges, and proposes practical strategies for sustainable development. It also shares Yili's practical cases and experiences in such areas as global footprints, the creation of an innovation system across the supply chain, digital upgrading, and green development, providing valuable references and insights for the industry.
This year's CISCE also features an area for advanced manufacturing, where nearly 70 renowned Chinese and foreign companies demonstrated the key role of "new quality productive forces" in driving the upgrade of the manufacturing industry and enhancing international competitiveness. Data shows that China's manufacturing industry has ranked first in the world in terms of scale for 14 consecutive years, accounting for over 30 percent of the global share, and is playing an irreplaceable role in stabilizing the global industry and supply chains.
