The "Beijing Rocket Street" project has been officially launched. Located at a key point in the planned aerospace district of Beijing E-town, the project will establish a common technological platform, a high-end manufacturing center, an innovative R&D center, and an interactive exhibition hall for science and technology, creating a commercial aerospace research and production base.
Covering an area of approximately 15.65 acres with a total floor space of about 140,000 sqm, the project aims to promote technological, model, and application innovations. It will create over ten shared experimental platforms for rocket R&D, testing, and manufacturing, providing support for commercial aerospace enterprises in new technology development and application scenario expansion.
In 2023, Beijing launched 14 commercial rockets, with 13 coming from E-town. Currently, Beijing E-town hosts a cluster of over 70 aerospace companies including 75 percent of China's private rocket makers.
