After multiple rounds of preparations and adjustment, the "Time Train" will once again be put into operation on Line 1 (including Batong Line), starting from August 26. This time, the "Time Train" carriages are adorned with posters providing travel guides to nearby museums, parks, and other popular attractions along the Line 1 (including Batong Line). Passengers can scan the QR codes on the posters inside the carriages to access detailed travel information.
The design of the "Time Train" encapsulates Beijing Subway's iconic models throughout its different development periods. Among the six carriages, the one at each end replicates the classic subway models of the 1960s and 1970s, featuring a unique horizontal seating arrangement. The four middle carriages highlight the train models of the 1980s and 1990s, as well as elements featuring Beijing's status as a Dual Olympic City in the first two decades of the new century.
The train's new phase of the operation will span from August 26 to September 26, with no service on August 31 and September 1. Its operation schedule during the Mid-Autumn Festival from September 15 to 17 will be announced separately.
According to the timetable released by Beijing Subway, the operating hours of the "Time Train" are slightly different on weekdays and weekends. On weekdays, the train departs from Gucheng Station to Universal Resort Station at 12:06 and returns from Universal Resort Station to Gucheng Station at 13:37. On weekends, it departs from Gucheng Station to Universal Resort Station at 12:06 and returns from Universal Resort Station to Gucheng Station at 13:44.
During its operational period, the "Time Train" runs one round trip each day. Are you ready to go and check it out?
