During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Beijing recorded 7.792 million visits and a total tourism revenue of CNY 10.09 billion.
During the holiday, the top 10 tourist attractions (regions) by visitor numbers were: Wangfujing, Qianmen Street, Nanluoguxiang (South Luogu Lane), Olympic Forest Park, the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven, SOLANA, Shine Hills, Capital Outlets, and Shougang Park.
From June 8 to 10, the parks citywide recorded 4.028 million visits, marking a 27.2-percent increase compared with the same period last year.
The rural tourism sector recorded a total of 1.351 million visits, growing by 16.3 percent year-on-year, with revenue reaching CNY 172.734 million, representing an increase by 8.3 percent. The three districts with the highest visitor volumes were Yanqing (471,000 visits), Miyun (289,000 visits) and Huairou (280,000 visits).
During the Dragon Boat Festival, public cultural institutions in the city organized a total of 1,132 cultural events in 1,306 sessions, recording 1.41 million visits. The number of the sessions increased by 14 percent compared with the same period last year. Beijing Library, the Grand Canal Museum of Beijing, and Beijing Performing Arts Centre together received 59,000 visits.
During the holiday, 60 key business areas citywide recorded 22.802 million visits, indicating a year-on-year increase by 10.3 percent, and an amount of consumer spending of CNY 6.57 billion, up by 12.9 percent year-on-year.
