The annual conference of the 2024 ZGC Forum is scheduled to take place in Beijing from April 25 to 29, with five major sections, namely meetings, a technology trade fair, a section for releasing achievements, frontier competitions, and other supporting sub-events. As one of these sub-events, from April 27 to 29, the 8th China Science Fiction Convention will be held in Shougang Park, Shijingshan District, which is also one of the parallel forums of the ZGC Forum. Focusing on science fiction technology, science fiction creation and industrial cultivation, the convention will feature 18 wonderful activities such as meetings and a science fiction film week.

Initiated by the China Association for Science and Technology, the China Science Fiction Convention, has been held for seven consecutive years. It became part of the ZGC Forum, a national-level science and technology forum, for the first time in 2023. Since 2020, Shougang Park has hosted this event for three consecutive years.
