The Film Carnival of the 14th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) kicked off on April 21 and is scheduled to end on May 4.
This year's Film Carnival features eight venues at the China (Huairou) Film and Television Base and several other parallel venues, encompassing five brand sub-events with more than 40 cultural activities, creating an environment marked by "film + slow life and micro tour".
Throughout the two-week event, citizens can brew tea and savor coffee together, while enjoying their first films in this spring. A special "film screening room" event, held at the Huairou Campus of Beijing Film Academy, will present excellent films provided by the organizing committee of BJIFF and film enterprises in Huairou.

In addition to film presentations, Huairou District has also launched a new cultural brand named "sleepless film town". Citizens can experience a variety of interactive activities such as dazzling light shows, dynamic music, various forms of cultural performances, DJ dance sessions, park tours for kids, and a cinema-themed market. There are also activities tailored for children and pets, such as a pet carnival and theatrical performances for kids, which will be rolled out at venues like MIGOO Pet-Exclusive Camp and Cangshuge Bookstore.
