On March 24, the China Fashion Week A/W 2024 kicked off in Beijing. This year's event focuses on Chinese aesthetics, innovation based on intangible cultural heritage items, and green sustainability, among other topics, and is slated to run until March 31.
It is reported that this session has gathered China's important textile and apparel industrial belts, notable academic institutions, and top industrial brands. Over 100 fashion brands and more than 170 designers are heavily involved in this fashion week which covers categories such as men's and women's wear, apparel for formal occasions, sportswear, children's and parental apparel, loungewear, accessories, and digital fashion.
Additionally, the event has introduced dedicated fashion sections themed "Shandong Day", "Xiamen Day", and "BIFT Day", among others for the first time, with numerous brands from the Greater Bay Area and the Yangtze River Delta serving as powerful newcomers. At the same time, this fashion week partners with important industrial clusters in Shengze, Jiangsu Province, and Qinghe, Hebei Province, as well as other regions, to display the results of crossover cooperation between local brands and designers, thereby fostering mutual empowerment between fabric research and design innovation.
