On April 20, the 9th Chinese Toon Culture Festival and the 1st Land Art Festival of Yukou Town, Pinggu District were launched in Qianmu Forest Park in Dongfangezhuang Village. This year's Chinese Toon Culture Festival is held simultaneously with the Land Art Festival, offering a variety of diverse experiences combining Chinese toon with food, art, parks, and rural cafes, among others. Visitors can fully immerse themselves in the local culture and partake in a considerable number of distinctive activities. The two events will last until May 3.
Visitors can try the local food and buy Chinese toon leaves there. They can also pick some Chinese toon leaves at the picking base and bring their harvest home to share the taste of the leaves with their families and friends.
Besides the beautiful scenery of Qianmu Forest Park, there are also many aesthetic agricultural landscapes around, including 19 creative landscape installations aimed at creating perfect spots for tourists to visit and enjoy.
During the Chinese Toon Culture Festival this year, many activities will be held, including an exhibitive market showcasing creative art, a food street featuring Chinese toon leaves, and folk art performances at different time slots every day during the statutory holidays.
Visitors can also visit the Youth Activity Center, a national 4A-level training base where they can make dishes, have picnics, camp, and take part in wilderness survival activities, among others.
