On April 20, Shouchuang Langyuan, a Capital Group's subsidiary running several cultural spaces, held an event for the World Book Day, with a range of novel and intriguing books exhibited at Langyuan Vintage, one of Shouchuang Langyuan's cultural spaces.
The books concerning art account for the majority of the publications displayed at Langyuan Vintage. The exhibition venue demonstrates an artistic style. A limited number of books exhibited there are placed well like artworks. Clothes racks commonly used in households are used for book display this time, with exquisite books hung on the clothes racks for visitors to read.

According to a person in charge of Shouchuang Langyuan, a book-sharing board was set on April 20, which will remain there until April 23. Citizens are welcome to share books and leave messages. They can also place the books they have finished reading at the book-sharing corner, in exchange for other books they are interested in from the corner for free. In addition, a themed art exhibition co-created by Shouchuang Langyuan and Guoke.com has also opened to visitors.
The non-profit book exhibition is free to access without reservation. Citizens may come to visit from April 20 to 23 (10:00-19:00) at the Building 6, Langyuan Vintage.
The book exhibition at Langyuan Vintage is part of Chaoyang District's endeavor to build a "City of Reading". At present, Chaoyang District is home to more than 80 featured bookstores such as Sanlian Taofen and Zhongshuge. The number of bookstores of various types there is 311, ranking first among all the districts in Beijing. Besides, Chaoyang has built 44 urban book rooms scattered in art districts, the CBD, hospitals, and schools, and is the first district creating 10 reader-friendly neighborhoods in Beijing.
