In the first two months of 2025, Beijing's exports reached CNY 94.78 billion, up 5.5 percent year‐on‐year, which outpaced the national export growth rate by 2.1 percentage points and marked a strong start to the year.

Exports from the city's major opening-up platforms all recorded growth. Specifically, exports from China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, and Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Park reached CNY 14.37 billion, CNY 8.75 billion, and CNY 3.33 billion, respectively, registering year-on-year growth rates of 8.9 percent, 12.1 percent, and 10.7 percent. In the same period, the Beijing Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone recorded exports of CNY 870 million, up 43.8 percent year-on-year, while the Daxing Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone's exports surged to CNY 210 million, up 665.7 percent year-on-year.

The export performance of the automobile manufacturing and information technology sectors was particularly impressive. In the first two months, Beijing's automobile manufacturing industry made a significant contribution to the growth of regional exports, with auto parts exports reaching CNY 4.42 billion, up 38.8 percent year-on-year, and automobile exports at CNY 3.87 billion, up 106.3 percent year-on-year. Auto parts and automobiles collectively contributed 3.6 percentage points to Beijing’s export growth. Meanwhile, the information technology sector maintained its steady upward trend, with the exports of flat panel display modules totaling CNY 1.67 billion, up 69.8 percent year-on-year, and that of the computers and related components reaching CNY 1.03 billion, up 41 percent year-on-year.

Overall, the exports of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region amounted to CNY 207.05 billion, hitting a record high for the same period with a 2.1-percent year-on-year increase. Beijing alone accounted for 45.8 percent of the region's total exports, contributing to a 2.5-percentage-point rise in the region’s overall export growth and playing a key role in the region's export expansion.
