Chaoyang District has become home to 150 regional headquarters for multinationals. This achievement accounts for over 70 percent of the total number of such headquarters in the entire city. Moreover, these headquarters enterprises have played a significant role, contributing approximately 60 percent to the district's overall economic aggregate. These figures stand as a good testament to the attractiveness that Chaoyang District showcases for the regional headquarters of multinationals.
Chaoyang District boasts bountiful foreign-related resources
Approximately 20 foreign embassies in China are situated in Chaoyang District. The district also gathers over 90 percent of international media organizations based in Beijing, over 80 percent of international organizations and business associations and over 70 percent of foreign-funded financial institutions in the city. It is a highly international region, standing out from domestic urban districts. By establishing their regional headquarters in Chaoyang District, multinationals have gained access to a range of convenient and abundant foreign resources. These serve as catalysts for fostering international exchanges, promoting investment, and facilitating collaborations.
Chaoyang District showcases a world-class business environment
The integration of Beijing CBD and Jinzhan International Cooperation Service Zone into the International Business Services Area of China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone empowers these areas to leverage the advantages of pilot policies in investment, trade, foreign exchange, and balance of payments facilitation. Currently, Chaoyang District draws three prominent global credit rating agencies and serves as a hub for six of the world's top ten consulting firms, nine of the top ten global law firms, and eight of the top ten advertising companies worldwide.
Chaoyang District benefits from professional policy support
To date, Chaoyang District has revised and implemented the "1+1+6" industrial policy system. The "1+1+6" industrial policy system encompasses one set of guiding policies and measures to drive economic growth, one set of incentive policies to attract investments from social entities within the local region, and six distinct policies tailored to the specific needs of key industries and functional areas crucial for regional advancement. These targeted policies cover finance, business economy, high-tech industry, cultural industry, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the high-quality development of Beijing CBD.
Looking ahead, Chaoyang District remains steadfast in its commitment to bolstering Beijing's status as a center for international exchanges. Its future endeavors will focus on attracting an increasing number of regional headquarters from multinationals within the district.
