The Shunyi District of Beijing Municipality recently released the Measures of Shunyi District for Supporting the Agglomeration and Development of the Convention and Exhibition Industry (the "Measures") to further promote the high-quality development of its convention and exhibition industry, accelerate the building of the Beijing Exhibition Business District (Beijing EBD), and better serve the development of the "Two Zones". According to the Measures, the district offers a total of CNY 50 million as incentives, up to 6 million for each eligible exhibition.
The Measures, well-targeted and functioning as a guide, highlights the concept of green development and covers three innovative industrial sectors, namely new energy and intelligent vehicles, aerospace, and third-generation semiconductors, with a grant up to CNY 6 million for each eligible event. Moreover, the Measures also supports exhibitions featuring modern services, sci-tech innovation and cultural creativity that are in line with the functional positioning of Beijing as the national capital, with a maximum of CNY 500,000 as reward for each new exhibition project with potential for higher growth. In addition, the Measures encourages major exhibition institutions with global influence to hold high-level forums and seminars as supporting events for exhibitions, offering a maximum of CNY 500,000 as subsidy for each eligible event. The Measures also supports the development of bonded service exhibitions based on the strengths of resources of the Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone, offering a maximum of CNY 200,000 as reward for each event.
