Meituan's smart logistics hub will be built in the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone. Its construction will start in 2023, and will be completed by 2025.

Meituan's smart logistics hub project reportedly includes a smart logistics base for retail and a digital community exchange and exhibition center. Based on Meituan's industrial strength and the location advantage, the smart logistics hub project aims to build a closed-loop IoT supply chain for retail and a high-end distribution center for food import, processing, and circulation in the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone. The ultimate goal is to promote the rapid and high-quality development of the digital economy and help build Beijing into an international consumption center.

Located next to Beijing Daxing International Airport, the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone is the only one in China that enjoys the policies of two provincial-level areas for pilot free trade zones and boasts the country's only cross-provincial comprehensive bonded zone. In recent years, through continuous policy innovation and optimization of the business environment, the airport economic zone has managed to boost industrial openness and innovation with an eye to key areas such as life and health sciences, the digital economy, offshore trade, and smart logistics. As of the end of October, nearly 4,000 enterprises had been registered in the airport economic zone.
