Since the beginning of the development of the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone (the "Two Zones"), Beijing has launched 149 measures on cross-border trade over the past two years, significantly improving cross-border trade facilitation. In 2022, Beijing takes the lead to carry out reforms to facilitate cross-border trade in all aspects. By introducing the Action Plan for Promoting Reform to the Facilitation of the Whole Process of Cross-border Trade, the city focuses on six major sections and has launched 31 measures to handle pain points and difficulties faced by market entities. At present, relevant processes are in smooth operation.
In the first eight months of 2022, Beijing's total import and export volume reached CNY 2,317.6 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 18.3 percent. The growth rate was 8.2 percentage points higher than the national level.
