The China International Fair of Trade in Services this year coincided with the second anniversary of the establishment of the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, which are collectively known as the "Two Zones". Beijing, in the meantime, announced new achievements made in its opening-up and development.

Over the last two years, taking reforms and opening-up as strong drivers of high-quality development, using international high-standard economic and trade partnership agreements and rules as benchmarks, and continuing efforts towards institutional innovation, Beijing has implemented more than 30 national pioneering policies, introduced more than 140 functional and service-oriented platforms, replicated and promoted more than 60 cases featuring reform and innovation, and further internationalized and strengthened the rule of law in the city's business environment. So far, a considerable number of well-known institutions in China and abroad have settled in Beijing, with high-end factors gathering in the city at an accelerated pace, providing a great impetus for the capital's high-quality development.
