In the first half of 2022, the total import and export volume of key cultural enterprises in Chaoyang District amounted to USD 728 million.

In recent years, Chaoyang District, anchoring its development in the building of the "Two Zones", has prioritized the business forms in the cultural field such as game publishing, internet audio-visual services and artwork trading, and has striven to act as a forerunner to carry out the municipal-level pilot policies concerning the quick review and approval of service applications, the license issuance for audio-visual programs, and the establishment of cultural product bonded warehouses. In addition to the implementation of pro-innovation policies, Chaoyang District has formulated the list of key cultural trade enterprises and scaled up the support for the key cultural export enterprises and projects.

As of now, Chaoyang District has a total of 100,100 registered cultural enterprises, among which there are 2,465 ones above the designated size, accounting for 43.5 percent of the municipal total. It ranks first across the Beijing Municipality in terms of the number of registered cultural enterprises and the number of cultural enterprises above the designated size. The district also houses 75 listed and quoted cultural enterprises, among which there are six digital culture and entertainment unicorn enterprises, accounting for 39 percent of the municipal total.
