From January to March, the "Two Zones" has seen a total of 844 new projects, completing 34.5 percent of the annual target, 9.5 percentage points ahead of the schedule. Specifically, there are 729 domestic projects and 115 foreign projects, accounting for 86 percent and 14 percent respectively.
In terms of the source of funds, domestic projects contributes 86 percent of the expected investment and foreign projects 14 percent. In terms of the type of industry, the service industry accounts for the highest proportion, with technology services, business services and professional services taking up more than 60 percent of the projects. In terms of the regional distribution, projects in the seven districts related to the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone comprise 51 percent of the total, while Shunyi, Fengtai, Changping and other 10 districts have run ahead of the schedule in the growth of new projects.
