Recently, the 24th Beijing-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium (hereinafter referred to as the Beijing-Hong Kong Symposium) was held with the theme of "Taking the Development of the International Consumption Center City as an Opportunity to Promote Beijing-Hong Kong Cooperation". The 2022 Beijing-Hong Kong Memorandum of Cooperation was signed at the event.

It is learned that in 2022, Beijing and Hong Kong will further strengthen economic and trade cooperation by focusing on key projects such as Beijing's development as an international international consumption center city and the development of the Two Zones, namely, the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone. The Memorandum covers pragmatic initiatives and cooperation projects including jointly promoting the development of Two Zones and organizing a series of activities themed on visiting the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, jointly holding Beijing-Hong Kong consumer brand and fashion brand activities and symposiums on Beijing-Hong Kong brand building, supporting Beijing enterprises, especially time-honored brands in further expanding market through the exhibition platform of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, organizing Beijing enterprises to participate in the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and the Asian Financial Forum to boost businesses and financial institutions from Hong Kong and Beijing to make full use of their advantages and explore business opportunities together, and jointly holding the investment promotion event themed on "Going Global" to help Beijing enterprises expand international markets.
