In the primary stages of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the construction of the "Two Zones", or the Integrated National Demonstration Area for Opening the Services Sector and China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone (BFTZ), is the focal point and key task in Beijing. The Beijing branch of Bank of Communications (BOCOM) remains supportive of the financial innovation and opening-up of the "Two Zones", along with the services it will offer to the real economy.
To address China-based overseas organization's urgent need for capital, Beijing Foreign Exchange Administrative Department of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange released the Code of the Pilot Reform of Foreign Exchange Management at China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, permitting banks registered and operated at the BFTZ to offer exchange settlement services to the NRA accounts of overseas organizations.
Following the release, the Beijing branch of BOCOM studied the document and activley promoted the pilot policies to customers. Recently, the BFTZ Sub-branch of BOCOM completed the exchange settlement for NRA accounts of China-based overseas organizations, offering convenient cross-border financial services to intelligent manufacturing enterprises as dividends of reform and innovation.
