As of the end of April, a total of 1,239 enterprises, including 11 foreign-funded enterprises, have been newly registered in two free trade zones within the aerotropolis of Beijing Daxing International Airport, bringing the total number of registered enterprises to 1,680. Of these new enterprises, 837 were newly registered this year, and 125 enterprises have a registered capital of more than 50 million yuan.

Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone

The construction of Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone, covering an area of 200,000 square meters, is speeding up. The Demonstration Zone includes several projects such as Hydrogen Refueling Demonstration Station and Hydrogen Energy Exchange Center. The Hydrogen Refueling Demonstration Station at the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone is said to be the largest hydrogen refueling station in the world. It can refuel up to 4.8 tons of hydrogen per day, with eight hydrogen refueling machines and 16 hydrogen refueling guns, which can provide refueling services for 16 fuel cell vehicles at the same time and serve up to 600 vehicles per day. Daxing District will continue to explore the commercial application of fuel cell vehicles in airport shuttle, urban logistics, and other fields to build an ecological industry chain for hydrogen energy.

Daxing Bio-medicine Industry Park

Daxing Bio-medicine Industry Park is an exclusive park engaged in bio-medicine in Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone. It has attracted a number of high-tech enterprises with global leading technologies such as Sinovac and Minhai Biotechnology.

From January to April this year, the Bio-medicine Industry Park has achieved an industrial output value above the designated sum of 35.17 billion yuan, a year-over year growth of more than five times, as well as tax revenues of 3.08 billion yuan, a year-over-year growth of more than four times. This year, the Park has been focusing on the construction of the "Two Zones", optimization of the business environment, and strengthening of investment promotion and project implementation, with nearly 200 projects newly registered and 38 projects newly signed.

Currently, the daily production capacity of Sinovac's Covid-19 vaccine exceeds six million doses, and an annual production capacity of over two billion doses has been established. Since last December, more than 40 countries and regions around the world have approved the use of Sinovac vaccine. Up to now, Sinovac has shipped more than 370 million doses of its vaccine worldwide, and more than 250 million doses have been administered globally.

Beijing Daxing International Airport Aerotropolis

Beijing Daxing International Airport Aerotropolis has enacted 30 policies to support industrial development, which apply to the High-End Industry Area (Daxing Cluster) in China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone and Daxing Airport Area (Beijing Daxing) in China (Hebei) Pilot Free Trade Zone, to attract more enterprises to settle down in the aerotropolis. The aerotropolis has also launched “butler services” to implement "one-stop handling with a single sheet for multiple purposes" and ensure "not a single on-site visit is needed unless necesssary".

Daxing Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone is China's first inter-provincial and municipal comprehensive bonded area. According to reports, Beijing Daxing International Airport Aerotropolis is ramping up efforts to speed up the construction of the Comprehensive Bonded Zone to ensure its operations at the end of the year.
