To support the building of a new digital economy ecology, Beijing Municipality plans an annual investment of over CNY 10 billion to introduce over 20 cutting-edge innovation, foreign-funded, capital-intensive, industry-driven industrial and platform-related projects each year, according to a work plan on the construction of the "two zones" released recently by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology.

According to the plan, Beijing intends to further attract a batch of international high-end projects, and facilitate the landing of additional foreign-invested projects by establishing an organization management mechanism with specific responsibilities to coordinating the work of the districts. At the same time, it will also accelerate the adjustment and implementation of administrative laws and regulations on further opening-up measures regarding the construction of the "two zones". Efforts will also be made to formulate supporting documents regarding the digital economy and high-end industry.

Beijing will further expand market access to attract international leading enterprises and projects in the digital economy and high-end industry. It will push forward the high-level opening-up in the city's digital economy and high-end industrial areas which will give birth to a number of institutional innovations and industrial models that can be replicated and promoted. With the vitality of an export-oriented economy to be unleashed, Beijing is set to build a pioneering area for digital economy and a cluster for high-end industries with global influence, and the city visions to be developed into a global model city for digital economy.
