Since the development of the "two zones", 718 enterprises have newly registered in the capital airport economic demonstration zone, with an additional registered capital of approximately CNY 6.9 billion as of December 2020.

In the field of aviation services, solid progress has currently been made with three institutional innovations by the capital airport economic demonstration zone, including:

- Building a world-class aviation hub and actively promoting the "Rebuilding China's Gateway" plan of the Capital International Airport;

- Defining the solution for improvement of regulation measures on aviation materials in bond;

- Exploring port facilitation measures for contracted and subcontracted repairing of aviation materials by aircraft maintenance companies.

In the field of aviation services, the capital airport economic demonstration zone has contacted a number of representative aircraft maintenance companies and completed the first round of collection and sorting of demands concerning the aviation maintenance industry chain. This has been done by hosting seminars on policy demands, conducting concentrated visits, and carrying out specialized research. The business demands span over the entire chain of flight line maintenance, airframe maintenance, engine maintenance, and airborne equipment maintenance, to be aligned with the rapid development of e-commerce, express delivery, and modern logistics and to meet the increasing demand for air passenger transport.

As of December 2020, the capital airport economic demonstration zone has 7,966 registered enterprises, with CNY 597 million in tax contributions in November 2020. Next, the demonstration zone will fully utilize its unique advantages of serving as an aviation company cluster, and closely focus on the development plan of the "two zones". Efforts will be continued to explore institutional innovation, improve environment for the opening-up, and fully promote the integrated development of the port, industries, and the city, in order to build an innovation-driven airport economy demonstration zone.
