A bucket of policies are confirmed in an official document of the municipal government of Beijing, according to the (Daxing) Administrative Service Center of Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone at a press conference on December 3.

Recently the municipal government of Beijing has officially approved the Detailed Control Plan of Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone (Beijing Section) (Block Level), which marked the entry of the airport economic zone into a new phase where it will, with one plan, one set of standards and one integration approach, to develop the zone into a bridgehead for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Riding on this momentum of the landing of policies, the airport zone is expected to ramp up efforts to build a world-class business environment, to advance in parallel the development of two free trade zones and the construction of a national integrated demonstration zone for greater openness in the service industry, to bring together worldwide resources for innovation, to promote higher-level opening-up, and to turn itself into a new gateway of the capital.

The planning area of the Beijing part of the airport economic zone is about 50 sq.km, and a larger part of Beijing part, about 497 sq.km, is included for further research of the overall management and control area of the airport economic zone. An area of nearly 15 sq.km is defined and reserved for national and municipal projects or future technological changes.
